How to embed testimonials on Webflow.

Keep your testimonial collection and moderation in EmbedProof, then add the widget to your Webflow site with an Embed element. Approved changes appear on subsequent page loads without editing a Webflow CMS collection. Check that your Webflow plan permits custom code before starting.
This guide walks you through installing the EmbedProof widget on Webflow step by step. Start with an approved testimonial you have permission to publish, and confirm your site permits custom scripts. Free includes one widget, up to 10 testimonials, and Grid and Masonry layouts. Pro adds all five layouts.
Before you start
Webflow's Code Embed element requires an active paid Site plan or a Core, Growth, Agency, or Freelancer Workspace. A Starter site in a Starter Workspace does not include this option. Webflow's plan requirements are separate from EmbedProof's Free and Pro plans.
You need access to edit the page and permission to publish to the selected domain. Use your existing webflow.io staging address for the first check; publishing to a custom domain also requires a Site plan.

Install steps
- 1In EmbedProof, turn on the widget you want to use and approve at least one testimonial you have permission to publish.
- 2Copy that widget's embed code from the dashboard. Use your own snippet, not the YOUR_TOKEN example below.
- 3In Webflow, open the page and add a Code Embed element inside the section where the testimonials should appear.
- 4Paste the complete script tag into the Code Embed editor and click Save & Close. Keep it in this inline element rather than the site's global Head or Footer code fields.
- 5To test on staging, click Publish, select only your webflow.io domain, and uncheck your custom domains. Click Publish selected domains when you are ready to make this version available at the staging URL.
- 6Open the published staging URL in a new tab and reload it. Check that your approved quote appears, then check the layout at desktop and mobile widths.
- 7When you are ready to release the change, publish to your intended custom domain and check that URL too. Publishing there requires a Site plan and the appropriate publishing permission.

Here's the full script tag you'll paste into Webflow. Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the widget token from your EmbedProof dashboard:

Check the published widget
- A placeholder in the Designer is expected. Check Preview or open the published page URL. A saved Code Embed or a read-only Designer link is not proof that the published page has changed.
- No customer quotes? Check that the widget is turned on and that the testimonials are Approved, not Pending. On EmbedProof Free, only one widget can be live. Fictional dashboard preview quotes are not published customer testimonials.
- Nothing at the intended position? Use the dashboard's complete snippet in an inline Code Embed at that position. Check that the published page contains your real widget token, and that the containing section is visible at the current breakpoint.
- Changed a quote or the widget style? Reload the published page. Each new page load requests the current approved selection and settings; an already-open page does not update live. You do not need to republish Webflow for those changes. Moving the embed or changing its code in Webflow does require publishing again.
