How to Embed Testimonials on Your Website

You can publish customer quotes as ordinary HTML or use a managed testimonial tool. The choice depends on who will collect responses, approve publication and keep the page current.

Option 1: Maintain a static testimonial section

For a small set of stable quotes, HTML and CSS may be sufficient. Get permission, preserve the customer's wording and attribution, and use your site's existing accessible components. There is no separate widget subscription, but someone still owns edits and deployments.

Option 2: Use a managed tool

A dashboard can simplify collection, moderation and updates. Several tools offer free embedding; it is inaccurate to assume every alternative requires a $50 plan. Compare current limits and official prices in the free-widget guide.

Install an EmbedProof widget

  1. Create an account and create your first widget.
  2. Share the widget's collection link with customers who can describe their own experience. Explain where you plan to publish their feedback.
  3. Review submissions and approve the testimonials you want to display.
  4. Choose the layout and appearance available on your plan, then copy the embed code from the editor.
  5. Paste the code into the page's HTML or custom-code block and publish it.

Verify the published page

  • Use the public page, not only a site-builder preview, and confirm approved quotes appear.
  • Check the layout on a narrow screen and with keyboard navigation.
  • Check that your host, content security policy and consent settings permit the script.
  • Edit a test quote and confirm the published widget reflects the update after caching clears.
